Which OS?
For Windows you can go to control panel, locate DP in aad/remove programs, select "modify" and deselect the component which you want to deinstall.
For Linux it might be same as locate the specific RPM by rpm command and deinstalling the rpm....but I am not sure doing this on Linux would update the configuration file on CM (you may have to do it manually after using the rpm -e on client)
For HP-UX it would be similar....using swermove to remove a particular fileset from the client.
