It must be my day for DFMF issues, I just got done responding to the same question
There are several Knowledgebase articles that describe how to do this. Enter the SSO web site (the same one used for this forum), and go to the 'Self-Solve' tab. Enter 'dfmf' without the ' marks, in the Keyword field.
Scroll down, choose the product Data Protector, don't click a Version or Operating system (when searching this site in the future, you may need to enter these values) and click on the box 'Knowledge Documents' (or any other documents you want to search). and click the Search button
Using this method, I found 14 articles that deal with DFMF, including at least 3 that talk about removing DFMF entreis from the IDB
