Thank you for your reply.
I've managed to get the 8.1 installed now with new licenses and my original IDB and everything.
I did by following your advice (almost)
1. Modified security policy
2. Uninstalled DP 8.1
3. Installed DP 6.20
4. It said it found a IDB database which could be upgraded from 6.2 to 6.2 during the installation which i accepted
5. Now the IDB could start again with my original settings without having to restore.
6. Installed DP 8.1 with "run as admin"
7. Installed new licenses
8. Checked connection to backupdrives etc.
Everything seems to be running now, but i will let it run its normal schedule tonight to see if any errors should occur.
