I've a similar problem, having problem in "life" environment, i.e.
DP8.1 GUI on Win2003 failed to start.
Then, I tested in a VM environment:
CM: Linux 5.5, DP8.1
Client: Win2003 SP2, DA, UI DP8.1
I can launch the GUI on VM environment, so, how do you explain that?
