Re: SAN BACKUP FOR FILE SYSTEMS IN WINDOWS 2008 CLUSTER

I am attaching the image with the clients information where cluvod is the cluster, nashp are file services, Nodo-HP1 and Nodo-HP2 are the two phisical nodes of the cluster and sdpmain is a Data Protector server.

I have also imported as a cluster.

With this configuration and that of the drives as I wrote in the first post. When I configure a backup and I select the content of nashp3 and nashp4 they are in NODO-HP1 and NODO-HP2 respectively, And select the two drives. Sometimes the nashp3 copy to drive2 and nashp4 to drive1 but via LAN.

However, if I force the backup task to use drive1 for nashp3 and drive2 for nashp4 the copy is through LAN.

The question is whether there is a way to select the two drives in a backup job always copy through the SAN or the configuration that I have is normal and this is DP operation.

Thanks
