Hi Tobias.
In your DP installation, you'll find a directory called 'Docs'. This has a sub-directory called 'support_matrices', which contains a file called Platform_Integrtn_SupportMatrix.pdf (among others). Just search for 'StoreOnce' and you'll find the list of supported platforms for that feature.
Essentially, you can only create stores on Windows 2008 and 2012 (x64) or specific x64 Linux distributions. Your gateways can also only be on such platforms. You can back up data from other platforms, but source-side dedupe is ruled for them. Only target/server side dedupe is possible in that scenario.
Regards,
Shishir
