You may get some better ideas from other members of the Forum, but, to my eye, the plan you are considering is probably the best option. I would think about a couple of other options
- Maybe consider using a Scheduled Copy instead of a Post-Backup Copy. This way, you are not tied to the actual Backup, and can run your Copy whenever you want
- It looks to me like you are doing a direct 1-to-1 copy of the backup. you are not consolidating, or trying to copy several sessions at once. if my assumprtion is not correct, you can forget the rest of this
IN the Destination tab of the backup specification is a button that allows you to Mirror the backup to another device. It does not have to be the same device type, for example one device could be D2D and another could be a Tape
The real downfall to doing it this way is that you are stuck with the same protection for both the Primary Device, and the Mirror
