When you upgraded to DP 8.x, a new IDB was created based on PostgrSQL, to take teh place of the old Raima IDB. Part of the upgrade was to keep all the old Detail Catalog Binary Files (DCBF) so that you could restore from older backups without having to use the 'omnimigrate.pl' command to convert them to DCBF2 (DP 8) format
Part of the Daily Health Check, which is run at 12:30pm every day by default, is to report to the DP Event log how many DCBFs still remain in the old format.
The Daily Health Check only does this:
Health checks are performed using omnidbcheck:
the option –dc performs a basic check of DCBF files
the option –bf performs a detailed check of DCBF files, correlating entries
against positions in IDB.
As protection expires on the old DCBF files, the Daily Maintenance removes the catalog, The AutoVacumn (new to DP 8) will delete the vestiges of the now-defunct DCBF files
IN order to actively migrate DCBF files to the new format, you would need to run
omnimigrate.pl -start_catalog_migration
If this failure with Consolidation is failing with backups done after you have upgraded to DP 8.x, then, I really doubt if the 'omnimigrate' could be the cause of this
The Daily Health Check can be disabled by editing the 'global' file, and finding this
# DailyCheckTime=HH:MM
# default: 12:30 (HH:MM)
# This option is used for starting daily checks at first
# omnitrig run after the specified time each day. Valid values
# are hour:minute, using the twenty-four hour clock notation
# Specifying 'None' disables starting daily checks.
Make a copy of the first line, edit it to remove the # sign and the 'space' that follows, and set it to None
DailyCheckTime=None
# DailyCheckTime=HH:MM
Save the file, stop and restart DP
I can't think of anything else that runs at 12:30pm, but, the DP Event log may provide you with more information. This can be accessed through the Reporting context
