Hi Naseer,

I'm assuming you use DP, since you mention it in (3).

  1. Go to Device & Media, open the library, select some tapes, and eject to the mail slot.  if you got a model without a mailslot, then you'll have to manually remove the tapes from the library.  The most important portion is keeping track of where the tapes are.
  2. Read the release notes to see if the new firmware is applicable for your environment.  The release notes have a list of bug fixes.  It will not impact any data on tape.
  3. If you have a perpetual license and a valid support contract, you can email the Licensing team to change the IP address of your license.  Go to https://h30580.www3.hp.com/poeticWeb/portalintegration/hppWelcome.htm to get the email fo the license team in your region.

As a start, you can email one of these:

licensing.ams@hp.com - For US
licensing.emea@hp.com  - For Europe and Middle East.
LicensesAPAC@hp.com (English, Chinese, Japanese) - For Asia Pacific
