 When logginng of backup is set to none, where does DP find the previous tree?

If Protection is set to None, you cannot do Incremental Backups

An INcremental Backup is dependant on the last Full, Protected Backup.  If Protection n the Full Backup expires, then the next Incremental Backup is run as Full

 With OB2NOTREEWALK=1 how does tree comparison work?

DP does 2 treewalks, the first is needed to do subsequent incrementals.  If you leeave this

OB2NOTREEWALK=1

in place, it will speed up your Full Backups, but will prevent any Incremental Backups

Please explain how does Enhanced incremental backup work, the Concepts guide just says it is "reliable"

Enhanced Incremental is basically the same as a regular Incremental.  You only need to check a box in the Options tab to implement this.  Enhanced Incremental can only use a disk-based media agent, like a File Library or a VTL.

When you run an Enhanced Incremental backup, you have the opportunity to Consolidate them into a Synthetic Full Backup, so for example, you run Enhanced Incrementals for a week, on the last day, you run a Consolidation to Consolidate them into a Full Backup, and do an Object Copy onto tape

In the GUI, click on Help -> Help Topics, and search for "Enhanced Incremental" (include the " marks to focus your search)
