Hi there. We just had a server go and tried to use EADR to get it back. We very quickly have run into block size problems. We use 256Kb and it requires 64Kb.
I am by no means an expert, but amending the block size used by the tape drives has done nothing to allow access. Is it that the backup set that has been written is now useless to Disaster Recovery? Is there any way I can dig my way out of this mess? Would DP be robust enough that we can re-install Server 2003, install the DP disk agent and then restore the C:\? That sounds mental to me when the server is still online and responsive!
Any help would be greatly appeciated!
