and if I do redirect, this is in the output file.

 

Inside DP, there's no output, whether or not I redirect - which makes me think it isn't working.

Running the agent under a higher-level account looks a possibility, but as a workaround I think I'll use a scheduled task (batch-file) to quiesce the db and flush cache to disk, a few minutes before the DP job starts.  Opening up the db again works fine in the post-exec script. 

 

Can anyone tell me whether a post-exec script runs if the DP job fails/aborts?
