I used HxDen, a free Windows Hex editor. I'll try to copy/paste this from my memory but it's been a while :)
Copy the system.db in the newconfig file to your runing config system.db.
I then created a B2D store with the old name, to a new path. That should work fine. Copy the just-updated system.db from the running-config to a temp-location. Then I moved the store-root to the actual path:
storeoncesoftware --configure_store_root --path=V:\B2D --force
Starting the daemon then works but doesn't allow you access to your data as shown in my first post. Then stop the daemon again, hex-edit the running-config system.db and the system.db you copied before. In the one you copied before there will be a line with the storename in, while the running-one doesn't. I just copied that line to the running system.db and presto. Saved me hours of work with HP, my experience is the knowledge of HP Enterprise support is abismal and it takes hours to get a serious answer at all.
