I would wait for the backups to finish, or to be aborted. Any Backup / Restore / Copy will lock the devices, and, I would think that you don't know which of the devices / Cartridges to Free. I don''t know if it is required, but, many of the 'omnidbutil' and 'omnidbcheck' commands require that you have exculsive access to the IDB
