Those variables normally help when the Media Agent is given incorrect positions by the RSM, and needs to scan all data from the beginning. In this case, it looks like the RSM itself is failing to compute the correct starting position. Therefore, the variables may not help. I think a lab case would be needed if the restore request is for real data and not for a test.
