1.) No, you should have better performance using multiple MAs
2.) During copy session, all settings are applicable as in backup session.
But now 2 devices are used during copy (restore and backup).
Please note that you cannot have more MAs started as there where objects during backup.
3.) As said, you will gain speed during copy if you increase number of objects during backup. So to say – decrease size of largest object during backup.
Secondly please note (observe your environment), that there are two MAs started during copy.
- RMA reads data from SOS host
- BMA writes data on LTO
Check on which hosts these MAs are started and you will see how data is sent over the wire.
