Hi,
to the appliance you installed DA only. When importing the vcenter server as vCenter Client, this will not change the behaviour for doing backups.
You need to install at least one VE Integration agent in your environment, either on an dedicated Proxy Server (Media Agent) or onto the vcenter server. Once installed, you will be able to create VMware backups.
