I checked lab cases, and found one for DP 9.01 with the same symptoms. This is a fairly unique case where the Media Agent is running on a Solaris system, and was resolved with a test binary
You will need to open a case with the Response center, and they will have you debug this problem, and get it sent to the lab. You did not specify what the OS-type of your Media Agent was, so, be prepared to supply that information also. If your MA is not Solaris, we are dealing with a systemic problem here that needs to be fixed
