Re: Client Installation Aborting

Hi all, 

 

Thanks for your time. Here is my answers.

 

@danielbraun : 

  • I haven't restarted the processes but the server has been restarted a few times.
  • I don't see any options in the client installation where I can launch a "debug mode"... Can you tell me where to find this option ?

 

@asshaheen:

  • I have tried telnet port 5555 on servers that don't have the client and they all failed. 
  • Telnet port 5555 on server that already have the client are working. 

 

@Bob_Clark:

  • All nslookup are exact
  • All telnet [CM and Futur Client(not already installed) IP and Hostname] on port 5555  are not working
  • All telnet [CM and Actual Client(already installed) IP and Hostname] on port 5555  are working
  • I checked the windows Log and I don't see anything related
  • When it was working, if I wanted to install a new client from the console, I had to disable the windows firewall on the client or the installation would fail. However, if I forgot to disable it, the installation would go on few steps, ask for credentials and then fail. NOW, even with the firewall disabled on client, it doesn't even start and fail right after clicking finish.
  • My installation server is the CM. Can I reinstall the Installaiton server role without crashing everything else on the CM ?
