there is a problem with scheduled and interactive copy jobs in DP 8. Copy Jobs running as a post backup should run. The problem has been seen in HP-UX, W2K8, W2012. From my point of view it might be related to a memory problem of the shared library facade or to a problem in internal database, which may happened during the upgrade.
Not tried so far, but you can test to limit the global variable CopyAutomatedMaxObjects=2500 down to 500 or less to see if it is working in your environment.
If still experiencing this error, open a case and refer to QCIM2A46626, several cases regarding the problem exist and debugs are collected with the instrumented binary from this fix.
