One solution...
Usually the operator would go to the tape library, open the library, and take the tapes out at the end of the month.
They would put replacement tapes in the tape library.
After changing the tapes, if your customer uses barcodes, they should run a barcode scan using Data Protector so DP is aware of the change of tapes in the library.
If the replacement tapes are new they would usually need formatting to the required DP tape pool(s).
If the tapes were previous Data Protector media, they should be checked...
- they have no protection
- they are for the required DP tape pool(s).
