Being cluster-aware is, by and large, a Microsoft function, I did find this link that seems to explain it

When you install a Data Protector component on a clustered system,
Setup automatically detects that it is running in a cluster environment
Please keep in mind that, when installing anything in a cluster, the components must be installed locally using the Installation media, they cannot be 'pushed' from the Client context of the GUI. THen, from the GUI, import the Virtual Hostname, and this will bring the physical nodes of the cluster with it
