There's been some bugs for omnirpt with -tab or -ascii outputs. It was supposed to be resolved with 9.03 (or maybe it introduced more bugs). What you're seeing is omnirpt.exe hanging and holding up all the associated processes with it.
A suggestion: Use omnirpt from an older version (9.02?). You can easily extract that and modify your script to use that one instead of the default one.
