Please be sure that, before doing any of this, you have stopped Data Protector, and made a copy of
/var/opt/omni/server/db40
None of this is documented. You may want to just go ahead and open a case with the Response Center, if it doesn't work, I would advise that regardless
Edit the file
/etc/opt/omni/server/options/global
to add the lines
DbPosDatLimit=8
DbPosKeyLimit=8
Save the file, restart Data Protector, run the command
cd /opt/omni/sbin
./omnidbutil -extendtblspace pos.key /var/opt/omni/server/db40/datafiles/cdb/ -max size 2047
./omnidbutil -extendtblspace pos.dat /var/opt/omni/server/db40/datafiles/cdb/ -max size 2047
You can try running this again
./omnidbutil -extinfo
to see if a 'pos.dat' or a 'pos.key'shows up, but, I doubt if it will
If this gives you an error, stop Data Protector, remove or rename 'db40', and put the copy back into place. Then, open a case (if you have not already done so) with the DP Support team
