Hi all,
I use virtual file tape library for backup, When backup job ran an error appeared on one virtual file tape. HP DP sent mounting request. I confirmed it and backup job crashed with message like
...cannot update to the tape...
I was really surprised that HP DP didn't use next free file tape (there were 6 free virtual file tapes in library) and crashed.
Do you have any idea what happens and why and how to solve it automatically without backup job crash?
I use the latest HP DP. VTL is in RedHat 6.8
