Yes, you are right. There is an hotfix available for encryption: DP0905_b105_QCCR2A65728_HF1
For my knowledge the bug was introduced with 9.05, not fixed in 9.06 and half fixed in 9.07. In 9.07 I was able to use encrypted tapes but support for encrypted copies was broken.......
