Re: DP 7.03 - IDB Help Required

Be VERY sure that you have either stopped DP and made a copy of 'db40' or have a recent backup of your IDB on tape before you try this.  As a mttter of fact, I would recommend both

There is no documented procedure on how to do this, but here is what I think will work

-  Stop Data Protector

-  In Windows Explorer, navigate to the M: partition.  Find 'fnames.dat2' and rename it, do not delete it

-  Start Data Protector, at the MS-DOS prompt, run the command

       cd \Program Files\Omniback\bin

       omnidbutil -remap_dcdir

- Run a couple of commands to see if everything is OK

       omnidbutil -info

       omnidbutil -extendinfo

       omnidb -session

       omnimm -list_pool

If any of these produce errors, stop DP, delete 'db40', put the saved version back into place, and rename the file back to 'fnames.dat2'
