Hey Daniel,
Cheers for the reply. I have actually since tried that - using a Domain Admin account in the resource domain, and granting full control to the vFiler CIFS shares. same deal - i can browse the content of the share within DP but when the job actually starts it fails. I have also built another backup server within the customer domain for testing, and sure enough (using the same account) i am able to backup the CIFS target with no problems. Its far from ideal to have multiple backup servers, but maybe this is the direction i have to head in....
Have you played with backing up NetApp vFilers? i would be keen to try and learn from your experience if you have!
Cheers again,
Timo
