Hi Bob,
Thank you for your reply.
I just wanted to get notificatin from DP in case of some problem (failed sessions etc.). Yes, I've configured "Reporting > Notifications" and "Reporting > Reports" (two test reports).
What I've noticed is that traps finally were sent. How? I Just disabled any filter in OVfilter file (remove all lines - before I filtered "normal" and "warning"). Unfortunately, this was not a good idea at all, because I got TONS of traps on my IMC:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
iMC alarm system has received a lot of unknown traps from 2014-09-10 15:30:23 to 2014-09-24 19:03:29, the total number of unknown traps exceeded the threshold (1000).
iMC alarm system has received a large amount of unknown traps.
Please add the unknown trap definition to the system for management. If you want to know the trap OID, please disable the 'Unknown Trap Filter', then iMC will record all unknown traps. The unknown trap threshold can be modified in 'Alarm >> Trap Management >> Filtering Trap >> Unknown Trap Filter Configuration'.

What is totaly strange for me, is that both: IMC and Data Protector are HP products, so IMC should already "know" DP OIDs "by default". It is not.
From what I understand, I should now do two things:
1) add some filter so that DP will not flood IMC (filter "normal" priority messages)
2) upload to IMC Data Protector MIB database
I know how to handle first step, but how to manage second one? Anyone know how to download MIB database from Data Protector?
