To thoroughly evaluate this, we would need to know what version of Data Protector you are using, and what is the OS-type and version of your cell manager
You should stop Data Protector and make a copy of 'db40' before attempting any of this
I would recommend that you do a purge of your Internal DataBase first
UNIX-based Cell Manager
=============
cd /opt/omni/sbin
./omnidbutil -purge -filesnames -force
./omnidbutil -purge -mpos -force
then, follow the instructions in the attachment "db_purge_unix"
Windows-based Cell Manager
=============
From the MS-DOS prompt
cd \Program Files\Omniback\bin
omnidbutil -purge -filesnames -force
omnidbutil -purge -mpos -force
then, follow the instructions in the attachment "db_purge_windows"
This may fix the problem, if not we have to look into Extending the Tablespace from the command line
