Re: Could not connect to inet in order to start BMA@ for IDB backup

I checked the 'omnirc' file for any local environment variables that might affect this, and found none.  Then, I checked the 'global' file, and the only thing I found that even came close was

# MinDelayForConnectionRetry=TimeInSeconds

# default: 30

You can increase this value to 60 seconds, but, all if may do is to increase the time it takes top produce the original error

Edit the 'global' file, find the line

# MinDelayForConnectionRetry=TimeInSeconds

Make a copy, edit one of the lines to remove teh # sign and teh 'space' that follows, and set teh value to 60

MinDelayForConnectionRetry=60

# MinDelayForConnectionRetry=TimeInSeconds

Save the file, stop and restart Data Protector, and run your IDB backup.  if this is of no help,  you will need to open a case with the response center, and run 'inet' debugs on the client system 'saturn.local.net'
