Probably you have already solved the problem, but I want to know you my opinion.
1) this problem in my case happened because I changed the credential of the local service Data protector Inet. After some days I changed the password and all It became right.
2) HP Data protector is a very complex software anc there are very few people who know it HP include.
Open a case in HP means to write a lot of e-mails and e-mails and often without solution.

I need to list my backup session of past 6 months for the auditing purpose.
In the DP GUI under Reporting tab> Reports I have session reports where parameters are set to list the session of past 6 months.
Now when I run the parameter I recieve only the 25 days of session reports from starting and at the end it written NULL.
I think there is soem parameter which need to be editied either in omnirc or global file so that reports can send reports for maximum bumber of days.
I can get the same session o/p from CLI : omnidb -sess -last 200 but I need the o/p in HTML that's why trying to get it from GUI.

I experienced the same issue reported as above and the following fixed my issue:
Set user <Data Protector user used for services> with the following privilege inside System Local Policies (secpol.msc > Local Policies > User Rights Assignments):
"Act as part of operating system"
Also…. Change “replace process level token” again in Local Polices!
Then omnisv –stop, omnisv –start.

It was related to encryption. The encryption had to be disabled on all clients including the cell manager. The cell manager didn't disable from GUI (we are on version 9.04) or the command line. So the config file located in C:\Program Data\OmniBack\Config\Server was renamed so that the service could created a new config file. The same was done for the config file under C:\Program Data\OmniBack\Config\client.
Also, " -encryption 1" parameter was removed for the cell manager from the "cell_info" file located in C:\Program Data\OmniBack\Config\Server\cell.
The command line worked after this upon restart of inet service. The clients were all disabled. A test backup worked. So, re-enabled the ECC. The jobs are running so far.

From what I see sql agent cannot be started on the sql server machine.
Check that inet service is running on the sql server.

Or from command prompt as administrator try "net stop omniinet" and then "net start omniinet".

You could try something like this from the command line:
omnirpt -report list_sessions -timeframe 4320 4320 -html > report.html
My guess is that whoever is complaining that the command is not working has old pools with the default settings (36 months of tape validity). If they changed that value, then the cartridges would immediately change to good status.
Since the export/format combination resets the creation date on the cartridges it works as well.

I was recently instructed by HP Support to back out the Build 107 patches because there are so many problems with it.
My immediate problem at the time was trying to omndbutil -readdb.
Since I backed out the patches system performance has been much better.

Running the suggested command from CLI still gives me only report for 25 days. For example running the below commands:
omnirpt -report list_sessions -timeframe 4320 4320 -html > report.html
Gave me the session O/p only from 5th 2015 to 27th May 2015 where as I need session reports for date 5th may 2015-30th October 2015 ( i.e today) After that it shows null

can you access INET service from cell server? On srv-sauvegarde you can try running:
telnet srv-testmgrange.grange-home.local 5555
If it's accessible you should get some baner like:

We are using MSL 8096 USB Encryption library. Recently cell manager server crashed due to harddisk problem and we have reinstalled HP-DP on the same server(different disk). We are unable to restore IDB/Catalog from media. Should I need to follow any special steps for encrypted library?
I have loaded media on the library used for taking IDB backup.

I have a Storeonce Software store which I am unable to start because filesystem is full. There are only 5.1GB free space left in the Storeonce Software store's filesystem. How to start the SOS store?
Storeonce software version: DP 7.03 (HP Data Protector A.07.00: StoreOnceSoftware, internal build 105) on SLES. LUN size is 10 TB with XFS. I can't extend the LUN because there are no free space available in that storage.

I would suggest opening support case. There are ways to free-up space, but your environment must be analyzed. And I would also suggest upgrading SOS version.

To troubleshoot the problem you could make a new backup spec, of the filesystem (selecting a similar amount of data) of the problem system, and keep everything else in the spec as similar as possible to the Oracle backup spec.
Try running that, is it slow or fast ?
