There is no easy automatic method. unless you use the advanced scheduler, I've not actually used it so I can't tell how to it. what you can do is in that screen shot if you click on 1st December and then click delete at the bottom,  that will remove the backup just for that day, but then youd need to do the 1st of Jan,  1st of Feb etc. not forgetting to click apply.

 

There are other methods using the text files, as all schedules and able to edited from there, with a bit of Google you may find someone has created a schedule like you've asked to remove the first day.

Showing incorrect backup size causing backup long running, showing more than 100 TB since actual volume size is 1 TB.

FileSystem is shared across the cluster nodes(GFS2). 

Client- RHEL 6.x

Cell Manager- Win 2k12 R2

We have the same error, running HP DP 9.08

Data Protector 9.0 GRE for exchange 2010

Hi, i am new to this Blog.

Currently i have DP9.0 with exchange GRE, i am running this tool on the Active Exchange server and it ask to assign the permission for the logged in user which i did, after sucessfully login when i am selecting the Import from backup option ( cache Management) It search for the mailbox, which took more than 2hours and nothing comes up.  Same things happed when i select the Mailbox database option, ( retriving List runs for hours without any result).

My requirement is to restore a user mailbox from the OLD tape (2015). which was backup by DP, i am not sure i am going with correct procedure..

can any one assist me how to restore it.

MY ENVIRONMENT :  Exchange 2010 with DAG.

Hi,

Is 9.08 installed in all the mount proxy servers?

Did you upgrade the plugin after installing 9.08?

we have upgraded the from DP7.0 to DP9.0 after upgarde i am trying to open the GRE from exchange 2010 import from backup option it too long to load and says retrieve mailboxes.. nothing happen.  i have to end task from task manager to close the dialogue box.  this is same happing when i am selecting the Mailbox database option. 

is this could be upgrade issue or any configuration issue with exchange2010. ( i have DAG in exchange)

Please advice as the backup is long running and had to abort every time due to backup running in production hours. as per plat form team, everything is optimal no hard links pointing to any major files. Seems product limitation for backing up shared filesystem. Please let me know if more information required. Thanks!

Cell Manger is Windows and MA is Solaris 5.10

There are some warning  when san backup with 6.20 MA(6.11 MA same).

So, Client upgrade to 9.07(b109).

But, Backup fail with below errors. (There are two type of backup / DA, Oracle8)

So, I change option of .omnicr(MA) to enable OB2BLKPADDING_13=3  (for LTO)

At that time, File backup working well without any warning or error.

However, Oracle backup still fail with same problem(Cannot backspace segments.)

Do you know any idea to solve the this issues?

If you want to modify text file

C:\Program Data\OmniBack\Config\Server\Schedules\JOB_NAME

However, If It is not file backup, location is different.

as per the above, I would try the uninstall then install. Also make sure IIS is using the v4 .NET.

That should sort it out!

Hi,

What kind of error do you get?

You got the csv but you're missing some keys? Or you don't get a cvs file?

Have you compared the keys with "omnikeytool -list"?

Hi,

yes compared but i found no keys are updated after 10.21.2016, i did my upgrage from 9.04 to 9.07 on 10.25.2016. i used to export the jeys using command omnikeytool -export filename.csv -all. but after patch when i run the command, keys are exported and command shows successful. but in .csv file there no keys updated after 10.24.2016.

login to the mailbox host as the exchange administrator then run the DP GRE tool. Run it as administrator....

Also make sure that the DP cell manager has user access to allow connection....

Backup datastores over FC (vmware ESX 6) - Documentation?

Can anyone point me to an integration doc or something to configure Data Protector to backup vSphere 6.0 Datastores (VMs) over FC?

Ive pieced stuff together, but I would prefer documentation addressing this specific scenario. I am having a hard to finding usefull information on Data Protector.

Hello,

I have 1 HP LTO-5 Ultrium 3000 and 15 tapes. I'm doing daily full backup for all connected cells.

I saw again this error
