Re: looking for some commands

Thanks for your reply.

I still have more questions. this command line reference guide doesn't help me that much.

1) As you said, I can find the Object name by using this command:

 omnidb -session 2014/08/04-1 -detail

And now I want to find the list of the files in a certain backup which the command is:

  omnidb OBject Name -session –catalog

so I run:

omnidb -winfs dc01.corp.testbackup.com:/C 'C:' -session 2014/08/04-1 -catalog

So I run and the result is "Object not found". I write the exact Object name which it provides in my first command.

What the reason could be?  (Attachment 1,2)

2) I cannot understand why no object in this session can be found. (Attachment3)

3) Why here it doesn’t list all sessions? (Attachment 4)

4)  Page 70:  restore a session

omnidb -session 2014/08/04-1 -type  restore

Why it doesn’t work? It doesnt recognize the command.

omnidb -session 2014/08/04-1 -winfs  restore

-> Object not found

why?

 5)  Page 116: omnimlist –catalog [DiskAgentID]

so I type: omnimlist –catalog 1407141329

-> why it doesn’t work?It doesnt recognize the command.

6) What is the difference with what comes inside '  ' and ''  ''?

and also a few more.

It would be nice if someone could help me.

Thanks alot.
